Our 26-cot local neonatal unit (LNU) provides expert care for our level 2 babies. We are proud to be a Bliss Platinum and UNICEF Baby Friendly Gold accredited neonatal unit.
The Role:
As a Trainee ANNP, you will be given the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in advanced neonatal practice. You will work alongside experienced neonatologists and ANNPs and be supported to gain hands-on experience in assessment, investigation and diagnosis. The post holder will work within the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of premature and unwell babies and their families. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact in the neonatal setting.
This is a training post and the post holder will complete the 1 year University of Southampton ANNP training course leading to an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner). Following successful graduation, the post holder will contribute to the neonatal resident doctors' rota and they will join a team of well established ANNPs in our LNU under the direction of the lead consultant neonatologist.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
